A band of light showers is currently lifting north through southern and central Brevard County. Areas from Melbourne northwards to Cocoa and Cape Canaveral may see a brief light shower...with slightly heavier rain for locations along the barrier islands. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain less than a few hundredths of an inch. A few showers along this band may also brush far eastern Osceola and Orange counties.
